Job Description:

You'll be working with a team of 10 passionate software engineers to shape the future of rapidly growing SafetyCulture application. Your goal will be working closely with UX Designers and Backend Engineers to design and implement functionality that our users are very eager to see. User experience, fast performance and code quality are in the forefront of what we care about, so developing features that are a pleasure to use through solid and efficient code is key for this role.

Our application has been used 10 million times since it was released and we are just getting started. If you would like to work in a place where your talents are enjoyed by thousands of users everyday and feedback is immediate, then get in touch, and we’ll be happy to hear from you.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Work closely with UX Designers to shape how new features will behave and look like
  • Shape the SafetyCulture product by writing solid, clear and efficient JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Ensure every added feature meets established performance goals
  • Work very closely with other software engineers to provide guidance about front end architectural patterns and goals
  • Help other developers on the team become JavaScript and CSS gurus

  • Strong communication skills. You will work as part of a rapidly moving team, so being able to understand and explain concepts quickly and clearly is essential
  • Have a strong understanding of how things work, rather than simply trusting existing libraries. Leveraging the libraries to do the heavy lifting is very much encouraged, but understanding how they work is essential. There should be no “magic” in our codebase.

Job Description:

Usability is about making the complex simple. A great user experience is one where we are able guide our users from their first interaction with our products, through to becoming life long customers. Great UX is the magic that gives a user a warm fuzzy feeling when they do something great. Rewarding the user as they engage deeper with our products and as they continue to find new ways to improve their lives from our apps.

Our mission is to help people work safer. That sounds pretty unsexy, but we are bringing sexy back baby! Our entire team loves the fact that we not only work on apps that are used millions of times all around the world, but they also help people go home each day. That is what makes a career at SafetyCulture different to most other tech companies.

We have a position available for a Senior User Experience Designer across our products. This role provides a great deal of creative freedom and is supported by our design and usability testing team members.

The role of the UX Lead is to find the most efficient path to take our users from the beginning to end of their journey with our products.

A hands on approach is required to investigate and develop powerful engagement processes and conduct extensive tests to verify what works and what could be improved.

You will be working with our support and product managers to gain feedback for improvements and then follow them through to being shipped as part of our products.

Whilst an appreciation for design is required, this role focuses more on usability, rather than design.

We have achieved quite a bit in a short time, but the best is yet to come as we now change gears and scale our team and products for our global user base. This is an exciting time to be part of a journey that is having a positive impact on the world around us.

This role can be based in either our Townsville or Sydney offices.

Job Description:

Working as a designer with SafetyCulture is a pretty cool gig.

We have kicked a few goals over the past couple of years, but the best is yet to come, so we are expanding our team. Great design is core to our values, and helping our users get to their goal seamlessly can only happen with world class design.

Our latest app has been used 10 million times since it was released and we are now building some more world class apps and moving towards some stunning real time reporting models for our users across the globe.

Much of our development is driven by the mobile user experience. The discipline that comes from designing for a mobile user carries over into our desktop platforms, so mobile is playing the tune that desktop dances to.

You don't have to be a big shot designer that has spent ten years designing the latest Louis Vuitton crocodile handbag, but you do need some magic dust that elegant, simple design exudes. The ability to take something complex and make it simple and intuitive is what we are after.

If you have the juice and are not in Townsville or Sydney, we would still like to hear from you.

If you are interested download iAuditor from iTunes or the Play Store, read the reviews and check out what we do.

Working on great apps is a joy, but working on something that helps humanity has an extra kick to it.

If you would like to work in a place where your talents are enjoyed by thousands of users everyday and feedback is immediate, then give us a call or send an email, and we’ll be happy to hear from you.
